Privacy Policy

This policy describes the Wrightbench desktop application and the website at wrightbench.com. Wrightbench is an open-source desktop project and does not operate an account service for the application.

Desktop application

Wrightbench stores its settings, project registry and run history locally in ~/.wrightbench/. It reads the Playwright workspaces you choose and starts project-local Playwright processes to record, run and inspect tests. Wrightbench does not include product telemetry or send that local history to a Wrightbench-operated server.

Playwright tests and recorded browser sessions can access websites based on your project configuration and actions. Those connections are made by your project and Playwright, and are subject to the policies of the sites you test.

Website

The website does not currently provide accounts, forms or first-party analytics. It stores a theme preference in your browser's local storage. Hosting infrastructure may process standard request information, such as IP address, user agent, requested URL and timing, to deliver and secure the site.

Downloads and source links send you to GitHub, which processes those requests under its own privacy terms.

Support

If you open a public GitHub issue, do not include secrets, access tokens, private repository contents or sensitive local paths. Information posted in a public issue is visible to others.

Changes

This policy may change as the website or product gains new services. Material data collection will be documented here before it is treated as part of the normal product experience.
